We treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions including back pain, neck pain, headaches, sports & overuse injuries and trapped nerves to name a few.
What happens at my first appointment?
Your first appointment gives us a chance to get to know you and understand your concern. Your chiropractor will discuss your symptoms, take a full medical history, and do a focused physical examination. If appropriate, a small amount of treatment may be given at this first visit, at no extra charge. You’ll then return for a report of findings appointment, where everything will be explained clearly and your first full treatment will be provided.
Will treatment hurt?
No, chiropractic treatment is not generally painful. It includes a range of gentle techniques such as spinal manipulation, soft tissue work, joint mobilisation, and sometimes additional therapies like acupuncture, LASER, or shockwave therapy. Some areas may feel a little tender or briefly uncomfortable during treatment, especially if the muscles are already sore or the joints are stiff, but treatment is usually comfortable and many patients find it relieving.
Is chiropractic Treatment safe?
Chiropractic treatment is safe when provided by a qualified, registered chiropractor. Your chiropractor will always assess you first and tailor treatment to your individual needs, making sure it is appropriate and safe for you.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions needed varies from person to person and depends on the condition and how long it has been present. Newer problems often settle more quickly, while longer-standing issues may take more time and treatment. For sudden injuries, such as strains and sprains, the severity of the injury is usually the biggest factor.
What should I wear?
Please wear comfortable, unrestrictive clothing such as leggings, t-shirts and joggers. It is a good idea to bring some shorts with you if you are attending for a lower back or lower limb complaint.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Just wear comfortable, unrestrictive clothing. If you have any imaging reports that may be relevant to your complaint, please bring those with you as well
Do I need a GP referral?
You don’t need a GP referral. Chiropractors are primary healthcare professionals so you can book with a registered chiropractor directly.
How long is an appointment?
Consultations can last up to 50 minutes, follow up treatments are 20 minutes
Can you help with back pain, neck pain, headaches, or sports injuries?
Yes, absolutely. Chiropractors treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, not just back and neck pain. We offer multiple techniques and services that enable us to tailor treatment plans to your needs.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash and card payments. For security and practicality, we are unable to accept Scottish notes or £50 notes. We accept card and contactless payments.
Do you treat children / pregnant patients / older adults?
Yes. Chiropractic care may be suitable for people of all ages, including children, pregnant patients, and older adults. If you are booking for a baby or child, please call the clinic first so we can make sure you are booked with the most appropriate chiropractor, as our team has experience treating patients of different ages and needs.
Do I need to remove clothing for treatment?
Not necessarily. It is often easier for your chiropractor to assess and treat if clothing is not in the way, but your comfort is most important to us. If you would prefer to remain fully clothed, that is absolutely fine. We also have gowns available if you would feel more comfortable changing into one.
What should I do after treatment?
This is different for everyone, and your chiropractor will talk you through any aftercare advice during your treatment.
Are you registered and insured?
Yes, Absolutely. Being registered with the General Chiropractic Council is a legal requirement to practice Chiropractic in the UK and insurance is a requirement of registration.
Do you accept private health insurance?
Our Chiropractors are registered with some insurers however, we will not bill your insurer. Patients are expected to pay for their treatments in full when they attend their appointment and then submit claims to their insurers. If your insurer requires that you use a chiropractor that is on their register then please call the clinic first to confirm which chiropractor you should see.
Can I book online?
Yes. We have a simple online booking system. Simply register online and select a service or practitioner and choose a time that suits you. You can also amend appointments online within our cancellation policy as well as view and downloads invoices for insurers.
